1. Your School Owns Its Data
When your school uses Katanga, its information remains under its ownership and control. Our school management platform provides the tools to organise, access, and manage your records. It does not transfer ownership of that information to Workspace Innovations Limited.
Your school can:
Access and manage student, staff, academic, and financial records.
Request an export of its information in a usable format.
Transfer its records to another school management system.
Request the deletion of its information when discontinuing Katanga, subject to applicable legal requirements.
We believe schools should choose Katanga because of the value it delivers, not because their information is difficult to retrieve. Your school owns its data. We provide the technology to help you manage it.
2. Protecting Student and Staff Information

3. Keeping Your School's Information Confidential
Confidentiality is a fundamental part of how Katanga operates. Workspace Innovations Limited handles customer information only for legitimate purposes related to providing, maintaining, securing, and supporting the Katanga platform.
We do not sell school information, commercially exploit student records, or disclose one institution's confidential records to another. Where third-party technology providers are necessary to deliver our services, information is processed only for appropriate operational purposes and subject to applicable confidentiality and security safeguards.
Our commitment is to ensure that your school's information is used to support your institution, not for unrelated commercial interests.
4. Secure Access and User Permissions
Different members of a school community need different levels of access to information. Katanga uses role-based access controls to help schools manage these responsibilities.
School administrators can manage permissions appropriate to their institution, while teachers and other authorised personnel access information according to their assigned roles. Workspace Innovations personnel do not routinely browse customer records. When technical support requires access to school information, such access is limited to appropriately authorised circumstances and the information necessary to resolve the issue.
